The season of giving is upon us, and the Washington Design Center is proud to host its annual Toys for Tots toy drive benefitting the Anacostia/DC Chapter. As the holidays approach, it’s a time to spread cheer and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children who need it most. This year, we’re calling on the generous hearts within our community to help us surpass last year’s incredible impact.
Until December 7, 2023, we are inviting everyone to bring new, unwrapped toys to the Washington Design Center. Each toy will light up the holiday for a child and bring a message of hope that resonates far beyond Christmas. In the spirit of giving and ease, the DC Chapter has thoughtfully curated an Amazon wish list, simplifying the process of selecting the perfect gift to donate.
Marine Toys for Tots has a remarkable legacy, with over 652 million toys distributed to 291 million children to date. These aren’t just toys—they’re vessels of joy, beacons of hope, and symbols of the community’s care and love. For those bustling with schedules but still wishing to contribute, online donations are a click away and just as valuable.
Last year, the Marine Toys for Tots broke records by distributing 24.4 million toys, books, and games to 9.9 million disadvantaged children with the aid of more than 50,000 volunteers. This year, with your help, we have the opportunity to bring even more smiles and joy to children across the nation.
