The Washington Design Center at Franklin Court is conveniently located in the heart of the downtown Washington, DC business district at the corner of 14th Street, NW and L Street, NW. Our neighborhood is filled with restaurants, hotels, shopping and business services.
The sophisticated and elegant Franklin Court building was designed by the world renowned architectural firm Kohn Pedersen Fox. The Gold LEED building includes a multi level lobby, sweeping staircase, dramatic water elements, and a two-story glass atrium with granite and marble finishes.
Explore the exquisite collections at The Washington Design Center’s WDC showrooms, open for all design enthusiasts and consumers. For procurement services, we operate primarily through trade channels. Kindly reach out to our showroom managers directly for detailed purchasing guidelines and information.
Please note there are some holidays where a majority of showrooms choose to close, even if the building itself is open. Additional holiday closures may be posted to the website throughout the year.
Trade Professional Registration
While the previous building did require trade professionals to register, the current location does NOT require designers and architects to register prior to visiting the showrooms. If you are interested in opening a trade account, please contact the showrooms directly as each manages their own account applications.
Guest Information & Registration
Design enthusiasts and professionals alike are invited to explore the diverse showrooms at the Washington Design Center. While we don’t mandate guest registration, it’s essential to note that each showroom adheres to its unique purchasing guidelines. Some WDC showrooms cater exclusively to interior design trade professionals. If you’re uncertain about a particular showroom’s purchasing protocol, don’t hesitate to consult a sales representative for clarity.
