About the Role

The Studio & Marketing Assistant is an organized, proactive support role that helps keep our team running smoothly and supports our Sales process behind the scenes. This person plays a key part in maintaining our sample library, assisting with vendor updates, helping prep materials for client projects, and learning our sales method and workflow.

This role is designed with a clear growth path—over the first six months, you’ll be mentored and trained with the goal of building skills and readiness that will lead to a transition into Sales.

What You’ll Do

Studio + Sample Library Support

  • Organize and maintain the fabric and sample library
  • Learn and follow vendor groupings and storage standards
  • Prep and pull samples and materials for the Sales team and projects
  • Keep the studio environment clean, functional, and ready for use

Vendor + Product Support

  • Help update vendor price lists, product details, and policy changes
  • Communicate with vendors directly to gather updates when needed
  • Track important vendor information and keep it organized and accessible

Sales Process + Workflow Support

  • Shadow Sales
  • Understand our lead-to-quote workflow and how projects move through the pipeline
  • Assist with basic quoting tasks (under supervision as training progresses)
  • Support simple design firm projects and help keep tasks moving forward

Communication + Professionalism

  • Maintain clear, professional written communication (email/text)
  • Follow up on tasks and updates in a timely way
  • Build trust through reliability, accuracy, and initiative

What Success Looks Like in the first Six Months

  • Month 1: Learn the sample library system and shadow Sales throughout this Six-Month period
  • Month 2: Maintain samples independently and support price list updates
  • Month 3: Communicate directly with vendors and support Sales prep
  • Month 4: Support small projects and apply pricing basics
  • Month 5: Take on more responsibility and assist with quotes
  • Month 6: Complete a Sales Readiness review and demonstrate full process understanding.

Progression and transition to Sales is based on readiness, performance, and business needs.

What We’re Looking For

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working with physical product samples and maintaining systems
  • Strong written communication and professional follow-through
  • Reliable, consistent, and able to manage routine tasks without reminders
  • Curious and eager to learn (especially around product knowledge + sales)
  • Friendly and team-oriented with a “jump in and help” mindset

Bonus Points

  • Experience in a design studio, showroom, or customer support environment
  • Familiarity with vendor pricing, quoting, or product ordering
  • Interest in growing into a strong part of our Sales team
