PROJECT COORDINATOR for Maryland/Washington, DC based Interior Design company.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Washington, DC, Annapolis, or Eastern Shore based Project Coordinator who has excellent written and oral communication skills, to join our small residential based interior design team.  This role is an integral part in carrying out our design vision.

This person will coordinate procurement activities as directed by our Procurement Manager, which facilitate the execution of our design projects. They will be expected to carry out a range of administrative, procurement, and project management tasks.

This is an autonomous role for a self-starter.

This person reports to our Procurement Manager.

This is a work from home position, but candidates will need to travel to the Washington, DC and the Annapolis, MD area approximately 3-4 times per month.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Supporting our Procurement Manager.
Management of our master schedule.  Coordination with our Design Team on upcoming installations, deliveries, etc.
Procurement preparation.  Pricing, freight and lead time research.  Entering orders into Studio Designer.
Daily order tracking.  Communicating updates to clients, contractors and trade partners.
Coordination with our receiving warehouse.  Communicating incoming order details.  Coordinating delivery details.  Tracking storage fees.
Managing FFE Project spreadsheets.  Communicating order status to Design Team.
Day of delivery contact person.  Requires on site presence at various job sites, sometimes on short notice.
Coordinating returns, replacements, etc.

The Ideal Candidate:

Knowledgeable in Interior Design and enjoys project based work
Self-directed and happy to juggle multiple projects
Demonstrates effective communication, composure, and professional attitude
Has experience in and an eye for process improvement
Not only understands the importance of organization, systems and processes but loves to use them to keep their projects efficient
Has an upbeat personality and a positive attitude
Strong prioritization and time management skills
Language:  English proficiency


Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting office operations of a dynamic team environment
Bachelor’s Degree
Possess high level of organization and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point) + a quick learner on   tech/software.
Proficiency in Studio Designer a plus
Ability to focus on multiple projects in various stages of development
Ability to work autonomously
Experience communicating with clients is a plus
Experience communicating with vendors and trades
Strong leadership, organization, communication, and relationship management skills
Reliable car and valid driver’s license to go to and from project sites, showrooms, meetings, etc.
Reliable computer and Wi-Fi to utilize our web-based systems


Average number of hours per week: 15-25 (Hours will range week to week)
