Draw Me a Wall!
HINES & Co. is kicking off the new year with a collection of fun and vibrant wallpapers designed by children from Pierre Frey. Walls tell stories! What if we let children of all ages imagine the decor of their dreams? To answer this question, company president and creative director Patrick Frey launched a contest in the spring of 2020 for all the children of Pierre Frey's clients and interior designers from all over the world.
The contest took place during the worldwide school lockdowns. To help ease their isolation and encourage their universal need for self-expression, Patrick Frey wanted to give children an opportunity for fun and artistic expression. The result is a charming collection of wallpapers and coordinating fabrics that express the resilience and irrepressible creativity of children the world over.
This collection includes the work of an exciting new local talent! Les Lapins de Charlotte was created by a gifted young artist from the Washington, DC, area. Charlotte's delightful depiction of an adorable rabbit family frolicking among flowers will brighten any interior. Washington, DC designer Shannon Hickok encouraged Charlotte to enter the competition, and they were both thrilled that Pierre Frey selected Charlotte's design for the collection.
Dessine-Moi un Mur! is a collection designed by children for children. Part of the profits will be donated, for 5 years, to the Fondation de France to support school dropout prevention programs implemented as a result of the alliance All United Against The Virus. The collection includes additional designs created by children who have grown up.
Magic, dreams, escape, games, favorite or imaginary animals, nature, freedom... The best things in life are brought together in this enchanting and colorful collection of wallpapers printed in large width on nonwoven. How good it is to look at the world through the eyes of children!
