Scalamandre's new Kelmescott Hand Block Print was discovered in an English archive and is printed using the original wood blocks, which were first cut by hand and printed in July 1924. Composed of 40 separate wood blocks, it requires 80 block impressions just to complete one full yard of printing. The charming scenic design of English country life is freshly interpreted in new colorations for today’s interiors.

This modernist movement emerged in the Northern Europe in 1930 at the Stockholm Exhibition as a shift away from realism and romanticism that had been a la mode. Scandinavian designers set out in search of the perfect combination between the traditional craftsmanship and practicality, as well as affordability while maintaining the decorum and grace. In the mid-20th century they have achieved their goal. The style, close to what it looks like today, was launched.
Flame retardant fabrics for both classic and contemporary interiors. Designs for curtains, cushions, bedcovers and upholstery are presented in crisp color combinations in a single collection to provide ideal decorating schemes for contract and hospitality use.
