Hear the inspiration behind this extraordinary collection and see the innovative printing techniques used to create these remarkable designs including a large-scale, digitally printed, pastoral mural that spans more than 13 feet wide and nine feet tall. Laser printing and digital imaging are mixed with more traditional methods of hand printing, flocking and beading to craft Barry’s brave and romantic wallcoverings that bend time to contour to the walls of modern rooms.

As a founding member of the WDC and an integral member of the D.C. design community, Ann was an ambassador of great design. “The design industry was Ann’s lifelong passion, and she lovingly championed so many along their path,” the company said. “Ann was a design dynamo, and her steady, consistent and heartfelt efforts to bring the best of the world to Washington was matched only by her constant efforts to share the best Washington had to offer with the rest of the world.” Guests are welcome to share their favorite memory or story of Ann. A memorial scholarship has been established in Ann’s honor.

Join us throughout the day at ROMO for design inspiration and light refreshments. Historic inspirations are the foundation of the new Herbaria collection from Black Edition. Baroque damasks combined with Moroccan antiquities are modernized in a palette of invigorating hues, while a diffused floral is reminiscent of 17th century Dutch still life paintings injected with contemporary tones. This year’s Mark Alexander launch explores the two distinct styles intrinsic to the brand; sophisticated glamor and a relaxed, well-travelled aesthetic. African textiles and ceramics inspired designers of the Art Deco era; the Origin collection alludes to each. Mark Alexander also introduces Accent, new trimmings masterfully crafted in Belgium from pure European linen.
Suite 210
Scalamandre introduces Modern Luxury, a sophisticated collection of fabric, trimmings and wallcovering that combines old-world craftsmanship and detail with a thoroughly contemporary aesthetic. Glamorous silks and velvets layer with casual linen weaves, lustrous embroidery and dazzling metallic handcrafted wallcoverings. The collection mixes graphic geometrics, organic patterns, soft textures and traditional damask motifs in a color palette that is quietly neutral and nature inspired, offering understated elegance for the modern home.
Schumacher / Patterson Flynn Martin
